Ideas for making your changing mat work better

I've penned a few thoughts over on my work blog for some immediately cool links - including the Dirty Diaper Diaries, of course - but I've also made up a wee photo tour of our changing mat, of what has worked really well for us in this first week of sporadic toilet activity. Let me know what you think - what could be done better? Any other top tips for avoiding pee in the eye (it happened today ;-)
